Centeon
Centeon is a deep-tech startup pioneering a bio-electrochemical technology to produce ammonia directly from air, water, and electricity, without relying on hydrogen. Our mission is to provide cost-competitive, low-energy ammonia solutions that enhance food security while decarbonizing the fertilizer industry.
Centeon’s innovations are currently in a stealth development phase but we are seeking industry partnerships (outlined in collaboration section).
Centeon was recognized as a semi-finalist in the IFA Cultivate Challenge 2025
Your IFA Innovation Platform Profile
What collaboration are we looking for?
Field Trials & Product Validation: Partnering with fertilizer distributors, cooperatives, and large growers to test and validate Centeon’s ammonia and nitrate fertilizers on-field.
Offtake & Pre-purchase Agreements: Engaging early customers for multi-year offtake or pre-purchase agreements to secure local, low-carbon fertilizer supply.
Deployment & Hosting of Demo Units: Collaborating with industry partners to host Centeon’s first pre-commercial production units (100–250 tons/day) for on-site fertilizer generation.
Technical & Agronomic Feedback: Receiving feedback on product performance, compatibility with existing application methods, and farmer adoption dynamics.
Strategic Partnerships & Scaling Support: Building alliances with key players in the fertilizer value chain to accelerate scale-up, logistics integration, and market access.
Investment & Co-development Opportunities: Engaging partners interested in supporting the industrial deployment of Centeon’s electrified biological ammonia technology through joint R&D or investment.
What solutions and opportunities are we offering?
Custom Fertilizer Formulation: Co-developing tailor-made nitrogen fertilizer solutions adapted to specific customer needs and local agronomic requirements.
Deployment of Local Production Units: Partnering with distributors, cooperatives, and agro-industrial players to deploy modular, local ammonia production units (5-250 tons/day scale).
Multi-year Offtake Agreements: Establishing offtake partnerships to secure long-term supply of low-carbon ammonia and nitrate fertilizers.
Sustainability & Decarbonization Initiatives: Supporting partners in achieving Scope 3 emissions reductions through clean, hydrogen-independent nitrogen inputs.
Innovation & Technology Demonstration: Collaborating on joint R&D projects, showcasing electrified biological ammonia production as a breakthrough for resilient, decentralized fertilizer manufacturing.
