BioPrime is a science-led agricultural biotechnology company transforming nutrient management through biologically intelligent solutions that improve Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE), reduce fertilizer dependency, and enhance farm productivity. Agriculture today faces a critical efficiency challenge—globally, only 30–40% of applied fertilizers are effectively utilized by crops, with the remainder lost through leaching, volatilization, fixation, and runoff. This results in higher farmer costs, declining soil health, environmental pollution, and increased greenhouse gas emissions.

To address this challenge, BioPrime has developed proprietary innovation platforms including SNIPR™ for biomolecule discovery and Bionexus™, one of India’s largest plant-associated microbial libraries. Leveraging these platforms, BioPrime has developed NutriMax™, a next-generation Nutrient Assimilator that improves the three pillars of nutrient efficiency: Availability, Absorption, and Assimilation of nutrients within the plant. Complementing this are BioPrime’s bioadditive technologies that can be integrated directly with fertilizers to enhance nutrient performance without requiring changes in farmer practices.

BioPrime’s NUE solutions have demonstrated the ability to reduce fertilizer requirements by up to 20%, improve nutrient-use efficiency by approximately 25%, and deliver strong farmer economics with 6–8x return on investment. By enabling crops to produce more with fewer inputs, these solutions help farmers reduce production costs while maintaining or improving yields and crop quality.

The company’s technologies are crop-agnostic, scalable, and compatible with existing fertilizer manufacturing and distribution systems, enabling rapid adoption across both smallholder and commercial agriculture. Through partnerships with leading global agricultural companies including Mosaic, ICL, Yara, Corteva, and others, BioPrime is accelerating the transition toward more resource-efficient and sustainable crop nutrition systems.

BioPrime’s vision is to build the biological layer for next-generation nutrient management, helping agriculture produce more food with fewer resources while improving farmer profitability, restoring soil health, and reducing the environmental footprint of fertilizer use.

Your IFA Innovation Platform Profile

What collaboration are we looking for?

Commercialization and Scale-Up Partnerships

BioPrime has successfully developed, validated, and commercialized its Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE) technologies across multiple specialty water-soluble fertilizer grades, demonstrating significant improvements in nutrient uptake, fertilizer performance, and farmer returns. The technology is currently being evaluated and commercialized across additional fertilizer categories, including bulk commodity fertilizers.

As we scale, we are seeking strategic partnerships with fertilizer manufacturers, distributors, agricultural input companies, development organizations, and government agencies to accelerate large-scale adoption of our NUE bioadditive technologies. Our primary focus is on regions where fertilizer availability is constrained, fertilizer costs are high, and improving nutrient efficiency can deliver significant economic and environmental benefits.

Future collaborations will focus on:

Integration of BioPrime’s bioadditives into bulk fertilizer manufacturing and distribution systems.
Large-scale field validation and demonstration programs across diverse agro-climatic regions.
Commercial partnerships to expand market access and farmer adoption.
Joint initiatives aimed at enhancing nutrient use efficiency while maintaining productivity and food security.
Deployment in emerging markets where improving fertilizer efficiency can enhance affordability, resilience, and sustainability for smallholder farmers.

Through these collaborations, BioPrime aims to enable agriculture to produce more with fewer inputs, improving farmer profitability while reducing the environmental footprint of fertilizer use at scale.

What solutions and opportunities are we offering?

Customized Nutrient Efficiency Solutions and Technical Collaboration

BioPrime offers strategic partners access to its proprietary biomolecule and microbial innovation platforms to develop customized bioadditive solutions tailored to specific crops, geographies, soil conditions, fertilizer grades, and farming systems. Recognizing that nutrient-use challenges vary significantly across regions, our approach focuses on designing solutions that address local agronomic constraints while integrating seamlessly into existing fertilizer value chains.

We actively seek to collaborate with fertilizer manufacturers, agricultural input companies, research institutions, governments, and development organizations by providing:

Customized bioadditive formulations optimized for regional soil and crop requirements.
Crop-specific nutrient efficiency solutions for cereals, horticulture, plantation crops, and specialty agriculture.
Co-development of enhanced fertilizer products for local markets and regulatory environments.
Technical expertise in nutrient-use efficiency, biological crop nutrition, and sustainable fertilizer innovation.
Joint field validation, performance evaluation, and agronomic support programs.
Access to BioPrime’s SNIPR™ biomolecule discovery platform and Bionexus™ microbial library for development of next-generation crop nutrition solutions.

Through these collaborations, BioPrime aims to help partners deliver differentiated, high-performance fertilizer solutions that improve nutrient efficiency, increase farmer profitability, and support more sustainable agricultural systems globally.
