AquaSpy
AquaSpy has developed the world’s first continuous in-ground monitoring system capable of measuring available moisture, nitrate and nutrient use efficiency every 4 inches in real time down to 2 feet in the soil. This IoT and AI enabled innovation empowers more precise and sustainable fertilizer application—ensuring nutrients are applied only when and where crops need them.
In spring 2025, AquaSpy initiated a large-scale pilot program in collaboration with leading agricultural companies, agronomists, and input manufacturers across a broad spectrum of crop types and growing regions. These real-world pilots enable side-by-side comparisons of grower-standard practices with novel fertilizer strategies, delivering insights critical to improving nutrient use efficiency (NUE) and reducing environmental impact.
These breakthrough nitrate and ORP data streams are integrated into AquaSpy’s proven, layer-by-layer crop and soil intelligence platform. Combined, this knowledge will help growers optimize fertilizer application rates and timing, to boost productivity while minimizing runoff, leaching, and input waste.
With a global footprint spanning 16 countries, AquaSpy supports over 130 dealers and large-scale growers across 990,000 managed acres. Our platform has captured over 38 billion data points on soil moisture, temperature, salinity, and crop behavior—across virtually every category of permanent, row, and specialty crops.
AquaSpy makes NUE tracking precise, real-time, and actionable—helping the fertilizer industry move from estimates and models to direct, real-time field-level optimization and measurable sustainability outcomes.
Your IFA Innovation Platform Profile
What collaboration are we looking for?
We are seeking go to market partners in Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, particularly nutrient retailers and agronomist consultants offering precision agriculture solutions. We are particularly interested in further developing our platform to support nutrient management as a precision service.
What solutions and opportunities are we offering?
Our technology is particularly valuable for specialty nutrient manufacturers such as biologicals and seed manufacturers interested in real time field data for their own research, or as a value add companion solution that accelerates grower adoption cycles by giving live in-season visibility into the application of specialty nutrients, engineered seeds, stabilizers, or nitrogen fixing products.
