Agnition Ventures is the corporate venture arm of Ravensdown, one of New Zealand’s largest agricultural input cooperatives. We invest globally in agtech ventures and solutions that address key agricultural challenges in New Zealand and around the world.
Beyond investment, Agnition also helps agtech companies with market entry and distribution — bringing their products into New Zealand through the Farm Innovation Network and Ravensdown’s nationwide sales channels.

What collaboration are we looking for?
Agnition is opportunity-agnostic — engaging across venture investments, technology co-development, fund-of-funds (into Agnition), strategic partnerships, and direct investments into Agnition’s portfolio companies. We also consider IP licensing opportunities where there is a strong strategic fit, among other forms of collaboration.
What solutions and opportunities are we offering?
R&D collaboration, pilot projects in New Zealand (from small-scale to commercial), equity investment, and support for market entry and scaling in New Zealand.

There’s no fixed fund size, but Agnition operates with a pre-approved annual investment allocation to streamline internal decision-making.

Up to USD 300,000, with flexibility to participate in either SAFE/convertible note or priced equity rounds.

Pre-seed to series A
