Claire Newell

Claire Newell (she/her) has 18 years’ experience in a variety of communications roles both in-house and in consultancy. Claire began her career in a B2B technology PR agency and then moved into the energy industry, managing the press office of a busy and high profile national energy trade association in the UK. Claire subsequently headed up all corporate communications activities for the World Association of Nuclear Operators, a global member organization focused on promoting standards of excellence in nuclear safety worldwide. She joined IFA in late 2022 from Sumitomo Corporation Europe, a Japanese trading company operating globally across a wide variety of industries. Claire has a Masters degree in International Relations & European Studies, a Bachelors degree in English Literature, and a Diploma in Professional Public Relations. She is a CIPR Chartered PR Practitioner.
