CFS Alerts on the Serious Long-Term Impacts of the Pandemic on Global Food Security
On March 24th, the Committee on Experts on Food Security and Nutrition (HLPE) published a paper looking at the potentially extremely serious impact of COVID-19 on food security and nutrition. From negative effects on global food availability and prices, the poor being hit the hardest, and the need for agricultural inputs and workers to circulate, here's a look at some of their key insights.
