This multilingual recently updated glossary  - in English, French, German and Spanish  -  was originally prepared by a group of experts brought together for the purpose in the early 1980s by the Agricultural Committee of IFA.

Terms and expressions are included mainly on the basis of their importance in the field of fertilizer usage, with a few relating to soil science, fertilizer manufacture and analysis, application machinery and methods.

In each language section the terms are arranged in alphabetical order, with a brief definition and with cross reference, whenever possible, to the nearest equivalent in the other three languages.

Dieses Wörterbuch in deutscher, englischer, französischer und spanischer Sprache wurde am Anfang der 80.er Jahre von einer Gruppe von Fachleuten des landwirtschaftlichen Komitees der IFA erarbeitet.

Die aufgeführten Stichworte wurden vor allem nach ihrer Bedeutung für die Praxis der Düngemittelanwendung ausgewählt. Daneben sind einige Stichworte der Themenkreise Bodenkunde, Düngemittelproduktion und -analyse sowie der Anwendungstechnik enthalten.

In jeder Sprache werden die Stichworte mit einer kurzen Definition in alphabetischer Reihenfolge aufgeführt. Wo möglich wird jeweils auf den entsprechenden Ausdruck in den anderen Sprachen verwiesen.

Este glosario cuatrilingüe, alemán, espanol, francés e inglés, ha sido realizado al principio de los años 80 por un grupo de expertos, bajo la dirección del Comite Agronómico de la IFA.

EI documento se limita principalmente al terreno estricto de los términos usuales en el tema de abonado, abarcando un poco cuestiones relacionadas con la ciencia del suelo, y con el análisis y la fabricación de los abonos, y con el equipo de aplicación.

En cada una de las cuatro lenguas, los términos aparecen por orden alfabético y se explican brevemente. Asi mismo, son acompañados por sus equivalentes más cercanos en las tres lenguas restantes.

Ce glossaire quadrilingue  -  allemand, anglais, espagnol, français  -  a été préparé au début des années 80 par un groupe d'experts sous la direction du Comité Agronomique de l'IFA.

Ce document se cantonne principalement dans le strict domaine des termes usuels de la fertilisation, abordant en partie ceux de la science du sol, de l'analyse et de la fabrication des engrais et du matériel d'application.

Dans chacune des quatre langues, les termes sont classés par ordre alphabétique et brièvement expliqués. Ils sont accompagnés de leurs équivalents les plus proches dans les trois autres langues.
