Potassium is good for your heart

Potassium is vital for a number of biological processes including kidney function, cardiac health, nerve transmissions and muscle control. It is also believed to decrease blood pressure. Potassium helps manage sodium levels in the body.

Potassium chloride (KCl) is commonly used as a substitute for table salt (sodium chloride) by people on low sodium diets. KCl can be applied as a crop nutrient, making it the only fertilizer product that is recommended for direct human consumption.

Potassium is not considered to have any negative impacts on our health or the environment.

The use of potash fertilizers can also increase the presence of health-enhancing factors like anti-oxidants in crops.
