IFA co-organized a side-event promoting productivity and sustainability in agriculture in May at the UN

IFA was part of the organizing members of an official side-event of the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development negotiations that was finalized in May 2009 in New York City, USA.

The Commission concluded in May its two-year round of negotiations that have been focusing on Africa, agriculture, drought and desertification, land, and rural development.

As part of the International Agri-Food Network, IFA joined forces with the International Federation of Agricultural Producers (IFAP), the International Council for Science (ICSU) and CropLife International.
