Global framework for FBMP
Although there is no “one-size-fits all” FBMPs, the general principles are simple and cut across all areas.The general objective of FBMPs is to achieve high levels of agricultural production in a sustainable manner that ecompasses economic, social and environmentally acceptable norms guided by the principles of the "4Rs" that is; right product, rate, time and place.
Through the fertilizer industry's initiatives, a " Global 4R Nutrient Stewardship Framework " for developing and delivering FBMPs has been developed by IFA. This framework should serve as a guide to all stakeholders when developing site-specific soil, climate, crop, and management systems.
