2011 Global Communicators Seminar
Berlin, Germany, 2-3 November 2011

Thirty members of the Communicators network met in Berlin to define the 2012 Joint Communication Strategy between the > Canadian Fertilizer Institute (CFI) , > The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) , Fertilizers Europe and > IFA .

The group seeked to: 

• raise awareness of its broad contribution to sustainable agriculture; 
• position key industry spokespeople as thought leaders within broader external policy discussions;  
• build consensus, support and evidence within the industry around its contribution, positions and successes.

The outcome of the 1.5 day workshop was to launch a communications campaign in 2012 focusing on sustainable agriculture and the green economy in preparation for the Rio+20 Sustainable Development Conference.
