Today, Asia consumes just over one-half of all fertilizers used globally. Because Asia only accounts for some 40 per cent of all manufactured fertilizers, trade is vital to the well-being of this region. If the entire Pacific rim is factored in, it becomes clear that this part of the world really is the global crossroads for the fertilizer industry.
The conference offers an excellent opportunity to interact with senior executives from major international fertilizer producing and trading companies. Close to 300 fertilizer executives representing 120 companies from 31 countries attended last year’s event in Bali, Indonesia, confirming the importance of this date in the calendar of IFA’s membership.
This event is organized under the guidance of the Regional Vice Presidents for all IFA members with an interest in Asia and the Pacific as well as newcomers acquainting themselves with the association in view of potential membership.
